Warehouse Manager – Full Time Contract

We’re on the lookout for a Warehouse Manager to join us, developing the key link between the warehouse team, other departments and – most importantly – our customers.

For this position, you must have knowledge of technical equipment as used in the live event industry.


a). Responsible to Managing Director

b). Responsible for Hire Technicians, Warehouse Technicians, Delivery Drivers, Repairs Engineer.

c). Responsible for communication with customers, other departments and suppliers.

Main Tasks of Job:

  • Day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing the daily hire operation – including internal customers from other departments;
  • Recruiting and training of staff;
  • Monitoring the performance and progress of staff;
  • Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met;
  • Communicating with other departments;
  • Ensuring quality, delivery, budget and environmental objectives are met;
  • Fulfilling objectives and directions from the Managing Director;
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone;
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date;
  • Planning future capacity requirements;
  • Briefing team members on a daily basis and as required as customer orders change;
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment;
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of equipment;
  • Being responsible for all equipment contained within the building, ensuring equipment functions correctly and is maintained to the correct standard;
  • Ensuring equipment in repair is available for hire when required;
  • Being the technical support person during office hours for customers with technical queries or problems.


  • Knowledge of Current-RMS rental software and TeamTrack resourcing software (desirable but training can be given)
  • Forklift Licence (desirable but training can be given)
  • Good knowledge of technical equipment used in the event industry. This is an important and necessary requirement.
  • Driving Licence

More importantly, we’re after a positive attitude and the ability to direct, and work in, a team. Sometimes, due to the nature of our work, preparation of equipment is time critical, so its important to plan ahead, liaise with other departments and report any issues as soon as possible. Our days are not always the same, so early starts, late finish’s and weekend end may be required.

We’re based at Follingsby Park, Gateshead.

Days: 0800-16:30 weekdays as standard.
