The brief was to provide a covered stage complete with safety calculations fully equipped with lighting and sound to be installed in the Market Square for the switch on process to start at 5.30pm and then performances afterwards. The front of the stage was to have a barrier erected for public safety.
Following a site visit our Prolyte Arc Roof stage and all equipment was delivered to site on the morning of the event. Within four hours our events team had constructed and tested the structure, installed lighting and sound, put the crowd safety Mojo barrier in place and were ready for rehearsals. The event was fully managed throughout the evening and the technical requirements of the performers, and then Jedward, were fully catered for. Despite a torrential downpour across the day and into the evening, huge crowds turned up to watch the event. Our events team then derigged and dismantled the stage. The site was clear to start the market preparations by 10.30pm.
